Buelah Mae (Davis) McKinney, 93 of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at her home. She was born on December 25, 1918, in Windsor, MO, a daughter of Oliver and Bernice Davis.
On May 25, 1940, at First Baptist Church, Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Orie McKinney, who preceded her in death on October 2, 1998.
She was a homemaker, providing a loving, Christian home for her three children and was very active in their education. She was baptized in 1941 and was a church member in a Baptist church from then on. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving on church committees. She also was proud to be active in the Democratic Party. Buelah enjoyed yardwork, cooking (especially desserts), sewing, crocheting and embroidering.
She is survived by two children, David McKinney and his wife Pat of Sedalia, Kennard McKinney and his wife Cindy of Belton; ten grandchildren, Danielle, Shell, Michelle, Heather, Shawn, Todd, Cassie, Shannon, Jaime and Christine; nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Marjorie Dehaven and two sisters, Cleo Whitworth and Marjorie Cooper.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Calvary Baptist Church, Sedalia, with Rev. Ted Francis officiating.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
Pallbearers will be Shawn McKinney, Brandon McKinney, Nathan Verhulist, Bruce Richardson, Rian Allen, Phil Westbrook, Brach Zuber and Rusty Bain.
