Marvin Dean Schumaker, 56, formerly of Sedalia, passed away, Monday, July 23, 2012 at his home in Bedford, TX. He was born on May 19, 1956, in St. Louis, MO, a son of John and Lorene (Thompson) Schumaker, of Sedalia.
On June 18, 1994, he was united in marriage to Lori Klompus, who survives of the home in Bedford, TX.
He enjoyed riding his Harley and loved Nascar racing. Marvin was always making people laugh. He loved cooking, photography and collecting watches and hot sauces from around the world. He worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad for 10 years and then for American Airlines for 25 years as an aircraft maintenance technician. He was a member of TWU local 565, Bedford, TX. Marvin served his country honorably in the US Marine Corps
Besides his parents, he is survived by two children, Christy Schumaker of Kansas City, MO and Anthony Schumaker of Denton, TX; one sister, Jeanette Davis and her husband Sam of Sedalia; two brothers, Randy Schumaker of Sedalia and Ronald (Keith) Schumaker and his significant other Tonya Grube of Sedalia.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Schumaker.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Steve Pearson officiating.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.
Pallbearers will be Randy Schumaker, Anthony Schumaker, Lance Wheeler, Barry Klompus, John Chancellor and Jim Chancellor.
Honorary bearers will be Danny Routen, George Hughes, Sam Davis, Micheal Demand and Mahlon Theobald
The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service.
A celebration of life service will be held in Texas at a time to be announced.

Full military honors will be conducted by the US Marine Corps.
