He was born May 29. 1951, the son of James Tyre and Ruth (Green).

Paul was an avid hunter, fisherman and all round outdoorsman.  He served his country honorably in Vietnam as a Military Policeman, in the US Army. Paul was a member of the VFW Post #4367, Slater, MO  and #5178, Gravois Mills, MO.

He is survived by two children, John Michael and his wife Carolyn of Richland, Stephanie Flick and her husband Charles of Fayette; his longtime companion, Marilynn Case, and her two sons; Bernell Case and his wife Misty, and Michael Case and his wife Kris; one sister, Judy Holt and her husband Bob;  two brothers, Jim Tyre and his wife Betty and Tom Tyre; and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A family service will be held at a later date with interment at the Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Jones and Steve McWhirter.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the VFW in Paul's honor. Funds will be designated to Post #4367 and #5178.

Military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post #4367.
