Obituary For Alaiya Ruth Crawford

Alaiya Ruth Crawford, 3, of Sedalia, MO, passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. She was born on February 3, 2020, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Dusty Crawford and Angela (Perriguey) Crawford, who reside in Sedalia, MO.

Our family was blessed with Alaiya (Cakes) when she was only three weeks old. Cakes loved to travel and get her hair done. She's been to Alaska, Florida, Georgia, Washington, Illinois, and more baseball fields than we can remember. Every trip she took, she touched people's hearts all along the way. Cakes could light up a room with her contagious smile. She also enjoyed snuggling up with her puppy or the cat! Even though Alaiya could never speak, she gave so much love to everyone in her life.

Along with her parents, Alaiya is survived by her siblings Lexi, Bryce, Ethan, and Banks.

Alaiya was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandfather, Edwin Crawford; paternal grandmother, Sherri Covert; paternal great-grandma, Wanda Forbis; and maternal great-grandparents, Jack and Willie Swearingin.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Jason Kindle officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City, MO, in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
