Alesia Rae Wissman

October 23, 1957 — September 30, 2025

Alesia Rae Wissman, 67, of Sedalia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. She was born October 23, 1957, in Versailles, MO, the daughter of Cleo J. Wissman and Myloh Mae (Tobaben) Wissman, who preceded her in death.

Affectionately known to most as "Babe," Alesia was a proud graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, Class of 1975. She continued her education at Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Accounting in 2009. She began her career with Missouri Press Metals and, in 1992, joined Tallman and Company, where she worked faithfully as an accountant and bookkeeper for many years.

Babe had a passion for life and adventure. She loved to travel, exploring destinations across the United States, and she especially looked forward to her trips to Branson, often taking her nieces and nephews along and creating lasting family memories. Known for her generous heart, she delighted in spoiling her nieces and nephews. Her kitchen was always filled with warmth, and she became well known for her famous chocolate chip and monster cookies.

A woman of many interests, Babe enjoyed researching her family's genealogy and took pride in uncovering her lineage. She was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, cheering faithfully for her team and especially for her favorite player, Travis Kelce.

She is survived by two brothers, Kirk Wissman (Pam) of Cole Camp and Bart Wissman (Christine) of Sedalia; six beloved nieces and nephews, Eric, Jennifer, Jessica, Cody J., Dylan, and Joseph; and fifteen great-nieces and nephews who brought her immense joy.

In addition to her parents, Babe was preceded in death by a brother, Marlin Wissman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Aaron Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Sacred Gardens in Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Cody Wissman, Dylan Wissman, Bryson Galariada, Austin Archambault, Clayton Archambault, and Ty Wissman. Honorary bearers will be Joseph Wansing and Eric Wissman.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Cancer Perks, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
