Alisha Marie Anderson, 36, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on June 17, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.
Alisha was a vibrant, determined, loving woman who lived her life for her two children. She started life on March 26, 1990. She excelled in school, especially in math and science. She earned one of the highest chemistry test scores ever recorded in her school district at the time.
Growing up, she spent time with her family, including her grandparents who had a large impact on her life. Alisha spent her time working various jobs and even started college. She got married and gave birth to her first child. As with all things Alisha started, she was ALL IN from the beginning, determined to be the best mother she could to her son, Stephan Andrew, and 3 years later, her daughter, Lily Marie.
Alisha embedded her passions into her children, including her quick wit, desire for fun, gardening, love of animals, nature, crafts, jewelry making, entrepreneurial spirit, and the love of travel. Although she was plagued for almost 9 years fighting cancer, she was determined to make as many fun-filled memories as she could with her children.
She also sought to inspire others and be understood throughout her life journey, leading her to start her own blog. She was a defender of the meek and weak. Often leading a charge with passion because she cared so much and wanted her cancer journey to inspire others and give them hope.
She is survived by her children, Stephan Andrew Anderson, Jr. and Lily Marie Anderson. She is also survived by her parents, siblings, grandparents, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and a host of friends and followers who extended love, prayers, and heartfelt emotions throughout various portions of her journey; including her doctors, nurses, church family, charitable organizations, and so many others. As her family, we thank you and appreciate all the support each and every one of you has shown Alisha. We hope you feel acknowledged and honored both in Alisha's life and in her death.
