Obituary

Alvie Russell Sutton III, 51, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born on October 6, 1974, in Clinton, Missouri, the son of Alvie Russell Sutton Jr., who preceded him in death, and Patricia L. (Quick) Sutton, who resides in Sedalia.

Alvie was a proud graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, Class of 1995. He worked for many years as a mechanic at Warehouse Tire in Sedalia.

Alvie enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Some of his favorite memories were made while taking his two sons fishing and hunting and sharing those interests with them. He also had a love for motorcycles and took great pride in teaching both of his boys how to ride.

Above all, Alvie treasured the time he spent with his sons. He especially enjoyed taking trips with them to Union Station in Kansas City and simply making memories together. Alvie also enjoyed spending time with his friends and valued the friendships he made throughout his life.

In addition to his mother, Alvie is survived by his two sons, Alvie Russell Sutton IV and Issac Lee Sutton, both of Sedalia; a sister, Goldie Ann Williams of Warrensburg, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

In addition to his father, Alvie was preceded in death by his daughter, Avia Lynn Meek-Sutton and his sister, Tina Machelle Hilt.

No services are planned at this time.
