Arlane "Lane" M. Yeager

Arlane "Lane" M. Yeager, 80, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Fair View Nursing Home in Sedalia. She was born on October 28, 1943, in Fulton, MO, the daughter of Hallie J. Zbinden and Alma J. (Howerton) Zbinden, who preceded her in death.

On September 6, 1964, in Fulton, MO, she was united in marriage to Charles "Chuck" O. Yeager, who preceded her in death on March 9, 2018.

Lane loved her friends and always looked forward to her weekly Friday outings with her "lunch bunch" and her monthly bunco night. She was an avid reader and loved doing crafts, including watercolors, embroidery, and jewelry making. Most of all, she loved her family and looked forward to spending as much time with them as possible, especially during the holidays. Her kids always said, "Mom looked forward to Christmas and birthdays more than we did." Her warmth, laughter, and generosity will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lane is survived by two children, Dorothy Yeager of Boonville, MO, and TJ Yeager (Debi) of Adrian, MO.

In addition to her parents, Lane was preceded in death by a sister, Penny Zbinden Flowers, and a brother, Kenneth Zbinden.

A celebration of life gathering with family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at a later date at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association in the care of the funeral chapel.
