Obituary

Ashley Nicole Tucker, 33, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on October 12, 2026, at her home in Sedalia. She was born on December 12, 1992, in Sedalia, Missouri, the daughter of Daniel Curtis and Kimberly Ann Brown.

On November 5, 2016, in Green Ridge, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Jarrett Lee Tucker, who resides in the home.

Ashley graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 2011 and continued her education at State Fair Community College. She possessed a deep passion for reading, writing, music, singing, and the arts. Ashley cherished every moment spent with her son, Oliver, attending events together as a proud and devoted mother. She was especially grateful to the Dream Factory for making Oliver's wish trip to Walt Disney World possible, as he bravely faces life with Type 1 Diabetes. Ashley was a fierce advocate for Type 1 Diabetes awareness. Her vibrant spirit shone through as the loudest and most enthusiastic wrestling fan, and she was known for her love of cow print and anything adorned with Highland cows. Generosity defined her, always putting others ahead of herself. Her faith in the Lord guided her throughout her life-she was baptized at Broadway Baptist Church as a child and found joy sharing her singing voice in the church choir and at local nursing homes. Above all, Ashley's world revolved around her son, Oliver; her love for her family and her infectious laughter touched everyone she met.

Besides her parents, Daniel and Kimberly Brown, and husband, Jarrett Tucker, Ashley is survived by her son, Oliver Preston Tucker; sister, Kaela Reeves (Joel); brother, Eric Brown; grandmothers, Betty Brown, and Kathleen White; nephews, Archer Daniel Reeves, Jackson Schmidt, Charles Schmidt, Jed Tucker, and Justin Tucker; niece, Karly McAllister (Brandon); and many aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ashley was preceded in death by her grandpas, Chester Brown and Ralph G. White; mother-in-law, Janet Tucker; father-in-law, Robert Tucker; aunt, Linda K. Wolfe; uncle, Larry Ditzfeld; brother-in-law, Rick Schmidt; great-nephew, Jason Tucker; and a cousin, Brittany Nicole Brown.

A celebration of life service with family and friends will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO, with Pastor Matthew Lyon officiating.

The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

The burial will be held at a later date at McKee Chapel Cemetery, Green Ridge, Missouri.

Honorary bearers will be Regina Hunt, Jimmy Brown, Eric Brown, Kaela Reeves, William Brauer, April Terpening, Tressie Roberson, Ashley Burton, Christopher Brown, and Casey Schmidt-Leeka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dream Factory in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
