Barbara Ann Hoover

Barbara Ann Hoover, 82, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 22, 1941, in Fayette, MO, the daughter of Romie Silas Jackson and Grace Sims, who preceded her in death.

Barbara graduated Smith-Cotton High School, the class of 1959. She graduated from the State Fair Community College nursing program in 1979. She retired from Bothwell Hospital in 2006. She loved caring for her patients as a nurse and spending time with her family.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Teresa Hartman (Richard T. II); son, Brian Wood (Deborah); grandchildren, James Hartman, Elizabeth Rhodes (Austin), Megan Wood, Leah Wood, and Austin Wood; and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her nine siblings.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
