Carol Ann Adamek, 67, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Rest Haven Convalescent Home in Sedalia. She was born on June 28, 1959, in Sedalia, the daughter of Vernon and Patricia (Reed) Elliot, who preceded her in death.

On February 11, 1998, in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Adamek, who preceded her in death on October 6, 2022.

Carol was a proud graduate of Smithton High School, Class of 1977. She continued her education at State Fair Community College, where she earned an associate degree in business management.

Carol worked for Walmart in Sedalia for six years as a cashier and department manager. She later served for three years as assistant store manager at Big Lots in Sedalia.

Carol enjoyed attending sprint car races at Double X Speedway in California, Missouri. She had a special love for animals, especially her Shih Tzu, Sissy, and her two Chiweenies, Tua and Marino. She also enjoyed watching The Voice and Survivor and discussing the shows with her aunt, Ruby, and her friend, Janice Boyer.

Carol treasured the time she spent with her niece, Tia. While her husband, Ken, was living, she especially enjoyed accompanying him on hunting and fishing trips. Her family, friends, and beloved pets brought great happiness to her life.

Carol is survived by her son, Jason Kleoppel of Sedalia; two stepsons, Ronnie Adamek and his wife, Emily, of Texas, and Troy Jacobs and his wife, Jennifer, of Arkansas; three sisters, Brenda DeWitt of Smithton, Anita Menning and her husband, Doug, of Stover, and Barbara Mahnken and her husband, Kevin, of Otterville; five grandchildren, Morgan, Jack, Liam, Kinsey, and Carrie; two nieces; four nephews; and many other extended family members and close friends, Pattie Snapp and Janice Boyer.

A celebration gathering with family and friends will be held at on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at LifePointe Church in Sedalia

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
