Carol Diana Klein

Carol Diana Klein, 76, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Aviston Countryside Manor in Aviston, Illinois.

She was born on April 6, 1950, in Sedalia, Missouri, the daughter of Dwight W. Dickson and Pauline (Nichols) Dickson, who preceded her in death.

On July 3, 1971, in Smithton, Missouri, Carol was united in marriage to Dick Lee Klein. Together, they shared more than 53 years of marriage until his passing on April 13, 2025.

Carol was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing volleyball and softball and also found great enjoyment in cooking and sewing. Carol was an enthusiastic sports fan and especially enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and Mizzou Tigers.

Above all, Carol cherished her family and the time she was able to spend with those she loved.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Jill Williamson and her husband, Martin, of Lebanon, Illinois; two brothers, Earl E. Dickson and Glen E. Dickson; one sister, Joyce E. Kaiser; six grandchildren, Aaron Klein, Justin Klein, Hunter Williamson, Trevor Williamson, Zander Williamson, and Kayla Williamson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

In addition to her husband, Dick, and her parents, Carol was preceded in death by three daughters, Wendy Dawn Klein, Jennifer Dian Klein, and Nicole Rene Klein; her son, Justin Ray Klein; and two brothers, Floyd D. Dickson and Richard Dickson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on October 9, 2026, at Flat Creek Baptist Church, with Pastor James Harrod officiating.

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow at Flat Creek Cemetery in Smithton, Missouri.
