Caroline P. Correa

Caroline P. Correa, 93, of Sedalia passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at her home. She was born on December 3, 1928, in Hilo, HI daughter of John and Rose Pestana, who preceded her in death.

On June 26, 1948, in Honolulu, HI, she was united in marriage to Frank Correa, who preceded her in death.

Caroline had a beautiful spirit. When she was a young girl living in Hawaii, she witnessed the start of World War II when Pearl Harbor was attacked. Caroline was a caring and loving person. When her brother Raymond passed away, she took in her nephew, Eddie Pestana, to raise.

Survivors include a daughter Peggy and Dean Garlitz of Sedalia, a nephew, Eddie Pestana (Michelle) of California; two grandsons, Nicholas Ferolito and David Ferolito (Chelsea) of Sedalia; a great granddaughter, Cassidy Ferolito; and a great grandson, Mason Ferolito.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

The family will hold a private family memorial service at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
