Charles William Stetzenbach

Charles William Stetzenbach, 87, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at EW Thompson Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sedalia. He was born on October 16, 1935, in Sedalia, MO, the son of Frances and Mary Violet Stetzenbach, who preceded him in death.

On November 9, 1963, in Sedalia, MO, he was united in marriage to Viola Katheryn Stetzenbach, who preceded him in death on April 17, 2021.

Charlie enjoyed fishing and being outside. He was an outdoorsman. He loved to tell stories. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Charlie is survived by three children, Barbara Stetzenbach of Sedalia, Marsha Welsh of Olathe, KS, and Roger Stetzenbach (Racheal) of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Heather, Danielle, Christian, Savannah, and Dylan; five great-grandchildren, Abel, Bentley, Nala, Mylo, Maci, Simba, and one on the way.

Besides his parents and wife, Charlie is preceded in death by two brothers, Lavern Stetzenbach and Alan Stetzenbach; three sisters, Estelle Mae, June, and one who passed at birth; three sons, Charles Hammond, Michael Hammond, and James Stetzenbach.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Burial will be at Miller's Chapel Cemetery, Longwood, MO.

Honorary bearers will be his son, daughter, and grandkids.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
