Cherie Lynn Whitlow, 70, of Sedalia, MO, passed away at her home on June 27, 2024. She was born on September 20, 1953, in Ft. Valley, GA, the daughter of Kenneth Hyde and Shirley Whitmore, who preceded her in death.
On January 24, 1990, in Sedalia, MO, she was united in marriage to Joseph E. Whitlow, who resides in the home.
Cherie was a most wonderful and lovely person. The daughter of a crop duster, she traveled the nation. She graduated high school in Hayti, MO, where she married her first husband, Johnny Harden. She was later married to Joseph Whitlow for 34 years. She settled in a career in real estate. She had 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She loved her family most.
Besides her husband, Cherie is survived by her brother, Kenneth Robert Hyde; her children Derek (Anissa) Harden, Jacques (Jamie) Harden, Ty (Jill) Harden, and Joseph Whitlow, Jr., her grandchildren Gage (Crystal), Mikayla (Alex), Marrianna (Tyler), Kyland, Kelton, Skylar, Ariel, Finley, Tristan, Dylan, and Chloe, and her great-grandchildren Silas, Elliot, Maddox, Ezekiel, Nellie, Frankie, Eliana, Ainsley, and Graham.
Besides her parents, Cherie is preceded in death by her brother Steven Nazarenus and sister Connie Glatz.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO, with pastor Ron Jobe officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
Pallbearers will be Derek Harden, Ty Harden, Joseph Whitlow Jr., Gage Harden, Alex Chernookiy, Jacques Harden, and Tyler Slawson.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
