Cheryl Lynn Milburn

Cheryl "Cheri" Lynn (Withers) Burgess-Milburn, 72, of Sedalia passed away on February 4, 2026, at her home in Sedalia. She was born on June 3, 1954, in Vandalia, Illinois, daughter of William Lee Withers and Norma Mae (Pryor) Withers, who preceded her in death.

on January 17, 1981 in Sleeper, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Robert E. "Yogi" Burgess, who preceded her in death on October 9, 2009. Later, on March 14, 2014 in Sedalia, MO, she was united in marriage to James Dean Milburn, who preceded her in death on October 31, 2025.

Cheri worked for Waterloo/Stanley Black and Decker for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking pies, and especially enjoyed spending with her extended family and friends.

Cheri is survived by a step-son, Bobby Burgess of Creiton, Missouri and a step-daughter, Rebecca (Burgess) Smith of Sedalia; four brothers-in-law, Virgil Burgess (Darlene) of Sedalia, Kenneth Burgess of Grandbury, TX, Jason Milburn, of Sedalia, and Brian Milburn (Shanna) of Warsaw; and two sisters-in-law, Sharon Handley (Edward) of Lebanon, MO, Tammy Milburn of Duncombe, IA; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Cheri was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda (Withers) Byrd.

No services are planned at this time. A private graveside service and burial will be held at a later date at Hesper Cemetery in Eudora, KS.
