Chester Wayne Bryan, 67, of Florence, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 29, 2025. He was born on March 16, 1958, in Sedalia, MO, the son of Forrest Clifford Bryan and Pauline (Currier) Bryan, who preceded him in death.
On April 30, 2022, in Sedalia, MO, Chester was united in marriage to Kimberly I. Bishop, who survives of the home. Together, Chester and Kim were faithful members of Grace Fellowship Church in Sedalia, where they enjoyed worshiping and serving alongside their church family.
Chester was a graduate of Smithton High School. In 1975, he joined the IBEW Local 124 in Kansas City, MO, and remained a dedicated union member for 50 years. Over his career, he worked as a skilled commercial electrician throughout Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
A true outdoorsman, Chester found joy in hunting and fishing. His greatest passion, however, was building and restoring Chevrolet pickup trucks. He also loved going to auctions and antique shops, always searching for unique finds. Above all, Chester cherished his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. He was incredibly proud of his sons and grandchildren, and he shared a special bond with his faithful four-legged companion, Roscoe.
In addition to his wife, Chester is survived by three sons, Justin Bryan (Sara) of Sedalia, Coleman Bryan (Hallie) of Warrensburg, and Seth Bryan (Maxine) of Sedalia; three stepchildren, Jay Lutjen (Jessica) of Sedalia, Britney Brandcamp (Stephen) of Warsaw, and Dakota Miller (Jade) of Marshall; five siblings, Sharon Cantrell of Smithton, Judy Stevenson (Leroy) of Smithton, Dennis Bryan (Linda) of Smithton, Kathy Foffel (Ed) of Knob Noster, and Holly Johnston (Mike) of Warsaw; eleven grandchildren, Riley, Colby, Callyn, Linnyx, Emmett, Charlie, Kennedy, Reese, Emmi Lou, Callum, and Konner; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Cody Bryan; and two sisters, Crystal Tevis and Forrestine Bryan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2025, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Andy Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia, MO.
Pallbearers will be Justin Bryan, Coleman Bryan, Seth Bryan, Dennis Bryan, Colby Bryan, Jr., Cody Bryan, Rick Gray, and Kelly Carver.
Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Lynch, Rusty Fisher, Dave Brown, Riley Bryan, Callyn Bryan, Linnyx Bryan, Emmett Bryan, and Charlie Bryan.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
