Obituary For Chris E. Toalson

Chris Edward Toalson, 64, of Lincoln, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born on January 26, 1959, in Mexico, MO, to Raymond Palmer Toalson and Ruth Miller (Nichols) Toalson, who preceded him in death.

On December 3, 1982, Chris was united in marriage to Penny Lynn Stuart in Thompson, MO. Chris worked as a Plant Controller for Waterloo Industries for fifteen years. He then became an insurance agent at Missouri Farm Bureau until he retired in 2018. Chris was an active community member, serving on various boards, helping coach many little league baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball teams, and coaching several competitive traveling teams. When Chris was not on the ball field, he enjoyed bowling, golf, fishing, hunting, and playing cards. Chris was an avid bird hunter and loved raising and training his bird dogs. He was a proud papa to five grandchildren. He found great joy in teaching them how to barbeque, about baseball, golf, and how to bait a hook.

Along with his wife, Chris is survived by a son, Nicholas Toalson and wife Kayla, of Clinton, MO; a daughter, Nicole (Toalson) Silvey and husband Andrew, of Cole Camp; five grandchildren, Reign, Palmer, Addilyn, Mason, and Hugh; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents and many aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2023, at Grace Fellowship Church in Cole Camp, MO, Pastor Tanner Wiley officiated.

The family will receive friends and family one hour before the church service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Fellowship Church in Cole Camp.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
