Obituary For Cody Bryan, Sr.

Farran "Cody" Bryan Sr., 68, of Sedalia, passed away at his home on Friday, March 11, 2022. On January 27, 1954, in Sedalia, he was born the son of Forrest Clifford Bryan and Pauline (Currier) Bryan, who preceded him in death.

On January 27, 1997, in Warsaw, MO, he was united in marriage to Tammie Jean Bryan, who resides in the home.

Cody served his country honorably in the United Marine Corps from 1970 until 1974 during the Vietnam War. He worked in construction all of his life. Cody enjoyed hunting, fishing, BBQs and especially loved spending time with his family.

Along with his wife Tammie, he is survived by three sons, Austin (Shelby), Cody, Jr, (Becky) and Stacy (Jennifer) Bryan; a daughter Brittney Bryan of Belton, MO; seven siblings, Sharon Cantrell of Smithton, Judy Stevenson (Leroy) of Smithton, Dennis Bryan (Linda) of Smithton, Chester Bryan of Smithton, Kathy Foffel (Ed) of Knob Noster, Crystal Tevis (Rick) of Holden, MO, and Holly Johnston (Mike) of Warsaw, MO; six grandchildren, Kayla, Chase, Montana, Wyatt, Tyler, and Easton; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Forrestine Bryan; and best friends, Donnie Wiser and Larry Landers; his mother-in-law, Bonita Crawford.

At 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022, funeral services will be held at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Oral Nichols officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia, MO., with full military honors conducted by the United States Marine Corps and Sedalia VFW Post #2591.

Pallbearers will be Austin Bryan, Cody Bryan Jr., Brittney Bryan, Stacy Bryan, Tyler Bryan, Chase Bryan, Wyatt Bryan, Montana Bryan, Easton Bryan, Kayla Clutter, Chante Burch, and Bill Wiser.

Honorary bearers will be Terry Crawford, Dustin Crawford, Bill Moore, Gordon Grupe, Alvin Franklin, Ronnie Williams, Larry Jeager, Mike Thompson, Jeremy Hofstetter, Ernie Keele, and Lance Clark.

Family and friends may make memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
