Cynthia Rose Wilson

Cynthia Rose Wilson, 25, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in Plattsburg, MO. She was born on June 13, 1999, in Columbia, MO, the daughter of Kenny Meloy and Sarah Rose Hallowell, who reside in the home.

Cynthia was a beautiful, loving soul with a big heart to help anyone in need. Cynthia loved to learn and experience a variety of things, including deer hunting, walking through the forest, spending time at the creek rock hunting, traveling/going on adventures, advanced reading, enjoying a plethora of music genres, loved astronomy, and was great at doing makeup and hair. There was no limit to her ideas and creativity; No matter what it was, she was always willing to try with a great big smile.

Cynthia served in the Civil Air Patrol (2012-2014), where she thoroughly enjoyed learning emergency medical skills, search and rescue, radio communications, and the foundations of piloting. In 2023, she began a career at Amazon, where she loved serving as a new-higher ambassador on the safety team and learning robotics.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia is also survived by bonus father, Roy Newman of Sedalia; a sister, Candace Newman of Alburn, AL; a brother, Maximus Meloy of the home; a son, Maliki Smith of Stover; maternal grandparents, Holly and Charles Cagle of Stover, MO; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband, William McHardie, maternal great grandparents, Joe and Judy Dyke, Carlos and Betty Hallowell, as well as paternal grandparents Ken and Peggy Meloy.

Memorial services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Chris Gray officiating.

The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Honorary bearers will be Evan Meloy and Tyler Cordray.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
