Dane Joseph Guffey, 31, of Sedalia, MO passed away Thursday, March 3, 2021 at his home. He was born on March 13, 1989 in Rolla, MO the son of Cary Alan Guffey who preceded him in death and Tamie Marie (Gagnier) Guffey who resides in San Antonio, TX.
Dane was known for his witty humor and quick remarks. He was a constant source of laughter for all of his family. When Dane wasn't making people laugh, he was impressing them with self taught musical talent, especially on the guitar. His daughter, Cambria was the light of his life and he especially loved spending time with her.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Cambria Guffey of Sherman, TX; a sister, Megan Guffey; two brothers, Carter Guffey and Travis Guffey all of San Antonio, TX ; paternal grandmother, Connie Guffey of Sedalia; maternal grandmother, Margie Gagnier of Edmonds, WA; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Albey Guffey; and maternal grandfather, Rene Gagnier.
A Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Arvol Bartok at 5:00 p.m. following celebration of life.
A burial will be held at a later in San Fernando III Cemetery in San Antonio, TX
Honorary bearers will be Jimmy Dale Guffey, Matt Campbell and Jeremy Campbell.
