Daniel "Dan" Joseph Linsenbardt, 62, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on March 10, 2024, at BRHC encircled by family and loved ones. Daniel was born on June 23, 1961, in Jefferson City, MO, the fifth child of Dr. Robert and Irma "Mitzi" (Schnieders) Linsenbardt. Robert preceded him in death in 2015.
Daniel was raised in Sedalia and attended both Sacred Heart and Smith Cotton schools. He graduated with a Business degree from Central Missouri State University in 1985. For many years, he worked as a key account manager for Schwan's Food Company and then Edy's Ice Cream in Kentucky and Tennessee.
On July 26, 1997, Daniel married Penny Kathleen Heffner in Springfield, TN. In 1999, they welcomed their daughter, Danelle Mitzi.
In 2005, Daniel and his family moved back to Sedalia, where they were faithful members of Sacred Heart Church. Dan soon founded Dano's Home Renovations and he and Penny also operated Bud's Laundromat. He always enjoyed gardening, cooking, boating, fishing, lobstering, and quality time with family and friends. His warm smile and sense of humor were always welcome at any gathering.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Kathleen; his daughter, Danelle Mitzi; his mother, Irma (Mitzi) Linsenbardt; sisters, Nancy (Craig) Chettle of Parkville, MO, Karen (Philip) Chancellor of Kirkwood, MO, Janice (Richard) Hargrave of Sedalia, MO, Kristy (Thad) Henderson of Warsaw, MO, and Suzanne (Kevin) Almquist of Omaha, NE; brothers, Scott of Sedalia, John of Fenton, MO, Patrick (Kathy) of Chesterfield, MO; stepdaughters, Leslie (Garry) Lowery of Scottsville, KY, Jamie Dees, and step-grandchildren, Trey, Jasmine, Geahna, Autumn, Haley, and Ashley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Sacred Heart Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with Father Joe Corel officiating.
A recitation of the rosary will begin at 9:45 a.m., with the family receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Honorary Bearers will be Daniel's nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Karen Chancellor to be used for Danelle's college fund.
Arrangements are being made under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
