David Gene Williams Sr.

David Gene Williams Sr., 54, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023, in Sedalia, MO. He was born on October 6, 1968, in Sedalia, MO, the son of Bill "Skinny" Williams and Mina (Kroeger) Williams, who preceded him in death.

David was a 1986 graduate of Willard High School, Willard, MO. He worked for the Pettis County Road and Bridge Crew for over 20 years, where he made many lifelong friends. David was a dedicated single father to his four children. He loved hunting, fishing, bar-b-que, and of course, his greatest passion was the "Chiefs Kingdom." The family requests that everyone wear a red or Kansas City Chiefs shirt.

Survivors include his significant other, Theresa Stathem of Sedalia; four children, Briana Williams (Ashton Pullis) of Warsaw, Davey Williams Jr., of Sedalia, Braden Williams of Sedalia, Chelsea Wiseman of Sedalia; step-son, William Stathem and his wife, Megan of Sedalia; two grandchildren, Seth Williams, and Icey Williams; a brother, Billy Dale Williams and his wife, Wendy.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a sister, Melinda Williams Todd, and a step-son Caleb Stathem.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.

The burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Ashton Pullis, Charlie McCormack, Chris Ellis, Kevin Goucher, Gary Gaewood, and Chad Morgan.

Honorary bearers will be Chad Lemons and Davey Williams.

Memorial contributions may be made to David's daughter, Briana Williams, in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
