Obituary For Deborah Leona Catron-Smith

Deborah Leona Catron-Smith, 70, of Sedalia, MO passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. She was born on April 26, 1951 in Cameron, MO the daughter of Frank Keesman and Helen Keesman, who preceded her in death.

On April 15, 1965 she was united in marriage to Danny A. Catron, Sr., who preceded her in death on July 30, 2010. On March 4, 2011 in Westville, OK, she was united in marriage to David Ray Smith, who survives.

Debbie worked for Wal-Mart for years in the craft department. She loved sewing, crocheting, bead art and gardening. Debbie loved watching her husband Danny Sr. ,children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren sing and dance. Family was her greatest treasure. With them she enjoyed playing games, BBQ’s , singing, dancing, spending time on the lake, camping, movie nights and spending time with her dogs. She was a very loving woman whom will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband David, she is survived by three daughters, Anna L Wittman (Nathan) of Sedalia, April Catron of Smithton, and Angela Imler (Ron) of Springfield, MO; three sons, Danny Catron, Jr. of Sedalia, Otis Catron (Tonya) of Eldon, MO, and Michael Catron (Lynn) of Florence, MO; 23 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and five sisters.

In addition to her parents and first husband Danny, she was preceded in death by a son, Rex Catron; daughter-in-law, Jennie Catron; brothers Kenny, Dicky, Harry, Butch and Darryl.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Peggy Wittman officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
