Obituary

Delmar Lantz Fisher, 92, of La Monte, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg, Missouri. He was born on September 4, 1933 in Houstonia, Missouri the son of Samuel Able Fisher and Edna Mildred (Delapp) Fisher, who preceded him in death.

On June 30, 1957, in La Monte, MO, he was united in marriage to Goldia Elene Fry, who survives him.

Delmar was a proud graduate of La Monte High School, Class of 1951. He and his wife Goldia attended County Line Baptist Church, La Monte. He worked as a clerk for Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line out of Houstonia, Missouri. Delmar enjoyed raising and conditioning his game chickens. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and drag racing.

In addition to his wife, Delmar is survived by four children, Kevin L. Fisher and his wife Denise of Sedalia, Missouri, Hubert Andrew Fisher of Shawnee, Kansas, Amy E. Barber of Carriere, Mississippi, and Terry Lee Hoskins and his wife Margene of Branson, Missouri; four grandchildren, Joshua R Fisher, Cole Peters, Bryce R. Barber, and Brandon M. Fisher; and seven great grandchildren, Carter, Kolsten, Rylee Rose, Pace, Beckham, Eli, and Keegan; a brother Jerry D. Stapley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Delmar was preceded in death by a grandson, Hunter Andrew Fisher; a sister, Maxine Peters; five brothers Russell Fisher, Wesley Fisher, Ray Fisher, Ronnie Fisher, and Bobbie Stapley.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Alan Morse officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
