Obituary For Deloris O'Neal

Deloris O'Neal, 84, of Sedalia, MO formerly of Carrollton, MO, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2022, at North Care Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. She was born on December 5, 1937, in Bogard, MO the daughter of Lester Cochenour and Amy Brownley (Cochenour), who preceded her in death.

On April 14, 1956, in Carrollton, MO, she was united in marriage to Jerry O'Neal, who preceded her in death on December 6, 2011.

Deloris was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sedalia. Deloris was a devoted military wife, homemaker, and loving mother to their five children. She enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, and visiting with all her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Robin Sellars of Haughton, LA., Elizabeth "Liz" Smoot and her husband Terry of Syracuse, UT, and Wanda Plackemeier and her husband Fredy of Gower, MO; two sons, Danny "Wren" O'Neal of Sedgwick, KS and Timmy "Tim" O'Neal and his wife Liza of Sedalia; ten grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Jessica, Amanda, Levi, Megan, Hanna, Brett, Seth and Sidney; twenty-one great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a brother, Jim Cochenour (Debbie) of Cameron, MO; a sister-in-law, Janice Cochenour, of Hale, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale (Valo) and Kenneth Cochenour; a sister, Bernice (Jack) Hanavan; a granddaughter, Brandy O'Neal; a great-grandson, Gage Lemons, a son-in-law, Doug Sellars; and a daughter-in-law, Lisa O'Neal.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Andrew Tessone officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Sellars, Michael Sellars, Levi O'Neal, Brett Smoot, Seth Plackemeier, and Amanda O'Neal.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation on the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
