Obituary

Devon Daniel Stark, 43, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on August 22, 2026, in Warsaw, Missouri. He was born on April 24, 1983, in Parker Prairie, Minnesota, the son of Daniel E. Stark and Deborah J. (Moeller) Stark, who reside in Center Town, Missouri.

He met his wife, Summer R. (Ingraham) Stark, and son, Rylee A. West, in 2014. Devon and Summer were later united in marriage on November 1, 2020, in Sedalia, MO. Summer and Rylee both reside in the home.

They share a love only others could dream of - truly unconditional.

Devon worked in the HVAC field throughout much of his career and most recently worked at Duke Manufacturing in Sedalia.

He was a daily reminder to be genuine, direct, determined, and to always build your intelligence. He was truly a blessing who loved life and wanted nothing but to have others love theirs. His insane greatness in the kitchen was the root of any gathering. There was not a single occasion when someone would leave without a full belly made with love. His ability brought family, friends, and strangers together without hesitation.

His smile always lit up the room, his laugh was contagious, his hugs filled you with warmth, and he loved wholeheartedly! He had an amazing soul that he shared with people and animals alike. He was dedicated not only to his family but also to his dogs. They, too, were literally this man's best friends. He continuously enjoyed them and his family while exploring some of his favorite hobbies: swimming, fishing, boating, traveling, four-wheeling, and pretty much anything outdoors. If indoors, he could often be sighted at his son's football games or wrestling matches. He brought adventure and quality conversation wherever he went.

Devon is survived by his wife, Summer; his son, Rylee; his parents, Deborah Stark and Daniel Stark; his brother, Damien D. Stark, his wife, Brittany D. (Smith) Stark, and their family; and so many other family members and friends whose lives were made better simply by knowing him.

Devon was cremated, and arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Katy Park Shelter #1, starting at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Smith-Cotton High School Football or Wrestling programs in Devon's memory. Checks should be made payable to Smith-Cotton High School and earmarked for either the Football program or Wrestling program in memory of Devon Stark.

Devon's life was far too short, but the impact he had on the people around him cannot be measured in years. He will be remembered for his love of family, his thrill, his laughter, and the good times that seemed to follow wherever he went. Most of all, he will be remembered by the people he loved - and who loved him - as someone whose family meant everything to him.
