Dianne Maupins, 76, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at her home. She was born December 22, 1949, in Sedalia, the daughter of Virgil Frazier and Louella Frances (Smith) Frazier, who preceded her in death.
In 1969, Dianne was united in marriage in Sedalia to Raymond Maupins. He preceded her in death in October 2015.
Dianne was a proud graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, Class of 1967. She devoted herself to raising her family and later worked as a seamstress at Lamy's Manufacturing. She also worked at the Comfort Inn and at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center. Dianne was known for her remarkable sewing skills, creating bridal and bridesmaids' dresses and making choir robes for Burns Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to dance and sing, and Friday-night dance parties at her home with her children and grandchildren became a treasured family tradition. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball, and she found peace outdoors tending to her flower gardens. Dianne had a strong will and a deep love for life, but above all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who truly were her world.
Dianne is survived by three sons, David Maupins of Cambodia, Troi Maupins, Sr. (Marquita) of Des Moines, Iowa, and John Maupins (Holly) of Sedalia; fifteen grandchildren, including Katelyn Gebelein and Keishaun Jones; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Frazier of Columbia, Connie Hankins of Sedalia, and Teresa Frazier (Donnie) of Sedalia; two brothers, Harold Frazier (Estella) of Sedalia and Darryl Frazier of Sedalia; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
In addition to her husband and parents, Dianne was preceded in death by a daughter, Ebony Maupins; a brother, Michael Frazier; and a niece, Arielle Davis.
