Dixie Sharon Hammond

Dixie Sharon Hammond (Dye), 77, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at her home.

Dixie's wishes were to be donated to the St. Louis University Gift of Body Program. Dixie is survived by her husband, Harry, of 61 Years. Dixie lived a very full life. She was prepared spiritually and mentally for her journey to heaven. She will reunite with many loved ones and friends that have gone before her, including her oldest son, Jeff.

Dixie was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother (Mimi), great-grandmother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend.

She knew of the love and appreciation all of her family had for her. Mimi was especially overjoyed any time she spoke with or spent time with her grandsons, Joseph and Tyler; granddaughters, Alexandria and Adrianne; and great-granddaughter, Adalynn. Dixie enjoyed talking, telling stories of the past and had a great love of music.

While she did not have a chance to meet in person, great-grandson Maddox along with great-granddaughter Evie, they have a special place in her heart.

While her time on this earth has come to an end, and she will be missed, we know she is enjoying a pain-free eternity with God. We love you; you're the best.

There will be a family celebration of life gathering held at a later date.
