Dolores A. Parks, 85, of Sedalia, MO, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. She was born on May 22, 1940, in Florence, MO, the daughter of Dale Rehmer and Edna (Nolting) Rehmer, who preceded her in death.
On June 4, 2008, in Hollister, MO, Dolores was united in marriage to Robert Parks, who also preceded her in death.
Dolores was a proud graduate of Otterville High School, Class of 1958. Throughout her working years, she was employed at Town & Country Shoes in Sedalia, Gant Lumber Company in Otterville, and later served as a clerk at Smithton City Hall, where she formed a lasting friendship with her dear friend, Irene. She went on to work as a pharmacy technician at Summers Pharmacy in Sedalia. Dolores was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Otterville before later becoming a member of Parkview Christian Church in Sedalia. She was also an active and devoted member of the Sedalia Moose Lodge #1494.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bob, especially their memorable trips to Hawaii. Dolores loved antiquing and had a special fondness for collecting carnival glass. She cherished trips to rummage sales in Kansas City with her dear friend, Darlene. Music and dancing at the Moose Lodge brought her great joy, and she especially treasured Christmas holidays spent with her family when her grandchildren were young, those gatherings were her favorite times.
Dolores is survived by three children: Mitch Gant of Sedalia; Mitzi Killion (Chris) of Sedalia; and Marci Sekutera (Kim) of St. Paul, NE; four grandchildren, Bruce, Jared, Justin, and Erica; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dolores was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Rehmer.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Florence, MO, with Pastor Rodney Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the graveside service at Rea Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Mitch Gant, Bruce Killion, Justin Gant, Kim Sekutera, Jared Hall, and Chris Frye.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sedalia Moose Lodge #1494, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
