Don Clifford Clark

Don Clifford Clark, 80, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City, MO. He was born on April 4, 1944, in Sedalia, the son of Elmer and Mary (Yost) Clark, who preceded him in death.

On October 21, 1967, in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Julia "Judy" Mary Wagner, who preceded him in death on August 25, 2018.

Don is survived by a son, Scott Clark and wife Sonia, of Kansas City, MO; a grandson, Peyton Clark; brothers, Eddie and Walter Clark; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, and wife, Don is preceded in death by brothers James, Leon, and Dilbert Clark. Also, by a sister Marguerite "Sissy" Pirtle.

Don was a member of Sacred Heart Church, St. Vincent de Paul Parrish in Sedalia. He was a 1962 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He owned and operated Don Clark Construction for over 40 years. On November 1, 2007, he and his wife, Judy, reopened the Wheel Inn at a new location on South 65 highway. Don was always willing to volunteer his time to help elderly people, friends, and family with odd jobs around their home that needed fixing at no charge. Don was a great family man. He enjoyed his time with his son's family going on vacations and especially loved spending time with his grandson, Peyton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the St. Patrick Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul, with Father Brad Berhorst officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Recitation of the rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m. prior to the visitation.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be David Cramer, Dilbert Clark Jr., Rick Gudenschwager, Mike Opfer, Jami Kahle, Cherie Fredrickson, and Shawn Hunsaker.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Foundation in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
