Obituary For Donald Edward Carr, Sr.

Donald Edward Carr Sr., 83, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022, at his home. He was born on December 30, 1938, in Lexington, NE, the son of Edward Dale Carr and Ellen Dorothy (Grafton) Carr, who preceded him in death.

On August 8, 1961, in Elwood, NE, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Marie Juel, and was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on September 27, 1973.

Don was a faithful active member of the Church in Sedalia. He was a self employed welder for many years. He owned and operated DONCO Welding and Fabrication in Sedalia.

Along with his wife, Dorothy, he is survived by two sons, Donald Edward Carr, Jr. (Jennifer) of Sedalia and Dale Lynn Carr (Georgia) of Kennewick, WA; eight grandchildren, Rachell, Lindsey, Preston, Dalton, Estelle, Desiree', Chance, and Bennett; four siblings, Francis Hanson of Sandy, UT, Trudy Radcliff, Jean Laufenburger, and Jon Wood, all of Colorado.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1201 W. Broadway, Sedalia, MO 65301, with Bishop Evan Stout officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be held at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Chance Carr, Bennett Carr, Dalton Carr, Preston Carr, Zakk Rhodes and Shawn Honeycutt.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Open Door Ministries in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
