Obituary For Donald Ray Knox

Donny Ray Knox, 58, died Friday, July 22, 2022, at his home in Sedalia, MO.

The family will hold a graveside service at 11 a.m., August 13, 2022, at the Union Cemetery in Cole Camp, MO. A celebration of life potluck will follow directly after the service. Friends and family are encouraged to share stories and photos at: www.never-gone.com/Memorials/donnyknox.

Born March 21, 1964, in Sedalia, MO, he was the son of Alex and Mildred Knox. He spent his life in Sedalia. Donny was married to his childhood sweetheart Jackie for 31 years. They met in sixth grade and have been inseparable since. Jackie passed away days before him and it's believed he could not be here without her.

Donny was born and raised in Sedalia, MO. He loved his grandchildren, Sky, Silas, Sabria, Lila and Adelyn; they were his whole world. Donny was like a big kid himself, riding scooters, playing in the creek and playing with all the toys he would get for the grandbabies. He spent his Saturday's going to yard sales to find new toys and surprises for them.

Donny never met a stranger and always had something funny to say, mostly at someone else's expense. He had a huge heart and sense of humor. He was an expert "jugger," his favorite type of fishing. He loved the lake, the woods, hunting for morels and made the best fried catfish and mushrooms. He was known for cruising around town with his dog Odie who wore sunglasses.

He is survived by his three children Katelin Horne, Donny Knox Jr. and Julie DeGeorge Frost; his sister Ginni Jones, brother George Dotson and many nieces and nephews.
