Dorinda "Rini" Bernice Goodman, 61, of Warsaw, MO, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. She was born on September 5, 1962, in Versailles, MO, the daughter of Lloyd E. Schlup Sr. and Nancy Carol (Lynn) Schulp, who preceded her in death.
On August 10, 1985, in LaMonte, MO, she was united in marriage to Donald Goodman, who resides in the home.
Rini was full of life and always the life of the party.
She loved traveling, hunting, fishing, and if there are mushrooms in heaven, she will find them. She spent many years ruling the auto-glass world and always made sure to give back to her community. Rini was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan who even made her husband convert his garage into a room for her to watch the games.
She always enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She raised four children and taught us all how to navigate and succeed in life.
Rini was married for 38 years to the love of her life. She always had the right answers and could fix any problem. “This too shall pass,” was her famous quote, and she always made sure it did. Rini was the leader of her pack and the backbone of her family.
We love you, and we miss you so much. GO CHIEFS!
In addition to her husband, Rini is survived by four children, Donald Goodman and wife Tina of Green Ridge, Maleena Hampton and husband Trevor of Lafayette, LA, Donna Forbes and Kevin of Seattle, WA, and Derrick Goodman and his wife Ashley of Green Ridge; nine grandchildren, Clay, Leigh, Ethan, Shelby, Kayla, Kaylyn, Kate, Kayley, and Jackson; two great-grandchildren; two beloved dogs, Truman and Mahomes; a brother, Kenny Schlup of Sedalia; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Rini was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Lowe, and two brothers, Lloyd and Bob Schlup.
A celebration of life gathering with family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel.
Honorary bearers will be Kathy Barber, J.R. Schlup, David Schlup, Bobby Schlup, Zac Lowe, and Brandon Goodman.
Rini was very generous to the Sedalia community. In memory of Rini, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to a charity of the donor's choice in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
