Edwin Perry
Goss
Nov 25, 1974 — Aug 14, 2026
Edwin "Perry" Goss, 51, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026, at his home in Sedalia. He was born on November 25, 1974, in Sedalia, the son of Craig Perry Goss of Glasgow, Missouri, and Kay (Sinclair) Kramer of Otterville, Missouri.
Perry was a 1993 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and was a Certified Peer Specialist Counselor. Throughout his working years, he was employed as a cook at several restaurants in Sedalia, Warrensburg, and the surrounding communities, including Country Kitchen in Sedalia, Isle of Capri in Boonville, and Rib Crib in Warrensburg.
Those who knew Perry knew he had a remarkable ability with computers and could often figure out problems that left others scratching their heads. He was truly a "computer guru." He also had a special love for his dog, Julie, who was a faithful companion and brought him much happiness.
Above all, Perry treasured the time he spent with his mother, whom he affectionately called "Mums." Their relationship held a very special place in his heart. He enjoyed the simple things in life, including a cold Mountain Dew, a meal from Taco Bell, and any opportunity to make someone laugh.
Perry had a wonderfully crazy sense of humor and was a natural jokester. He could bring laughter into a room and was known by those around him for his kind, caring, and compassionate heart. He had a genuine concern for others and understood that sometimes the people who need kindness the most are those quietly carrying burdens of their own.
While Perry brought laughter and kindness into the lives of others, he also carried private struggles and fought battles within himself that were not always visible to those around him. Some of those battles were known only to Perry. Yet even through his own difficult moments, he continued to show compassion toward others-a reflection of the caring heart for which he will be remembered.
In addition to his parents, Perry is survived by his sister, Sarah Goss; two brothers, Ian Crawford-Goss and Luke Crawford-Goss; a nephew, Barron Goss-Short; a niece, Soleil Goss-Short; four uncles, Steve Sinclair, Stuart Walton, Eric Walton, and Flint Walton; and three aunts, Elaine Sparks, Dianna Neihouse, and Sharon Peery.
Perry was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bill and Clara Bruening, and his paternal grandparents, Red and Jeanie Walton.
A celebration of Perry's life will be held by the family at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hound Lover Rescue, 14438 Upton Road, Windsor, Missouri 65360.
Arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
