Obituary

Frances "Frankie" Marie Kindle, 87, of Sedalia, MO, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at home. She was born on March 21, 1939, in Dutch Mills, Arkansas as the daughter of Margaret Jane Whitaker, Sosby Eastep, and Pete Chambers, who all preceded her in death.

On September 24, 1959, in LaMonte, MO, she was united in marriage to Loyd Eugene Kindle, who preceded her in death on August 4, 2016.

Frankie was a proud graduate of La Monte High School, Class of 1957, where she graduated as the Salutatorian of her class. She was also active in Speech and Debate, Math Club, softball, volleyball, and cheerleading. She moved to Kansas City after graduation and lived in a stairwell as she began her career as an accountant for Marsh Steele. Shortly after, the love of her life, Loyd Kindle, returned from the Army and they began building their life together. They moved to Sedalia where she became a mom, homemaker and a tax preparer. Frankie took great pride in her home, gardening, and collecting antiques. She enjoyed hobbies including, crocheting, bird feeding and watching, and her all time favorite, playing slot machines. She found her deepest purpose in connecting with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing and playing league volleyball. Frankie loved playing Texas Hold'em with all of her family which often ended with her taking everyone's money. She was always the life of a wedding reception with her endless bottle of Tequila shots and photo bombs. Every summer for the past fifty years, you could find her at the Missouri State Fair. She began her journey at the fair serving lemonade and corn dogs which grew into the business legacy known as the "Hacienda". Family members greatly enjoyed visiting her and Loyd during this time of year. Frankie was extremely grateful to have walked through each stage of her life with her cherished brother and best friend, Whit.

Frankie is survived by a son Brad Kindle (Mary) and a daughter Lisa Shaver (Jeff) both of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, Luke, Jessica, Sam, Jake, Logan, Walker, Zach, Ashlea, and Austin; thirteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Howard Whitaker (Annie), Roger Eastep, and Gary Eastep (Joanne); two sisters, Kathie Myers and Sharon Guerra; a sister-in-law, Karolyn Eastep; and a very special nephew, Andy Kindle

Frankie was the last surviving family member of the twenty-eight Kindle family members who she loved very deeply.

In addition to her husband and parents, Frankie was preceded in death by a brother, Don Eastep, a sister, Fran Weaverling, and two brothers-in-law, Chester Myers and Raul Guerra.
