Gary Lee Petree

Gary Lee Petree, 77, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, surrounded by his family at his home in Sedalia. He was born on September 7, 1945, in Sedalia, the son of Orval Petree and Mary Boyer Toliver, who preceded him in death.

On April 12, 1969, in Sedalia, MO., he was united in marriage to Juanita Jean Petree, who resides in the home.

Gary was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He started roofing with his uncle Hub and later worked with his father for many years. He loved racing, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved his grandchildren. Everyone that knew him loved him.

Besides his wife, Juanita, Gary is survived by four daughters, Melissa Hemme (Gary) of La Monte, Bobbie Nosich (David Priesendorf) of Sedalia, Monica Lancaster (Chuck) of Sedalia, Carma Petree (Justin) of Warsaw; six grandchildren, Alexis McCracken, Matthew Brandkamp, Stephen Brandkamp, Carly Nosich, Mason Lancaster, and Shayla Kindle; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, J.R. Petree (Julie), Mitch Petree (Debbie); four sisters, Cindy Petree, Chris Stauts (Andy), Cheryl Bell (Michael), and Jamie Cramer (Dudley).

Besides his parents, Gary is preceded in death by two brothers, Randy Dean Petree and Joe Petree, and a sister, Diana Lynn Petree.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
