Gayle Ann Jarrett

Gayle Jarrett, mother to Darrell Wayne Jarrett, Daniel Dwayne Jarrett, and Sherry Renee Jarrett, passed away on November 14 after a tragic boating accident in Nassau, Bahamas. Her final moments were spent with her family on their way to an event on Blue Lagoon Island, Bahamas.

She was known for her love of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Gayle will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Gayle's family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alton "Ted" Jarrett; her sons, Darrell Wayne Jarrett and Daniel Dwayne Jarrett; her daughter, Sherry Renee Jarrett; and her brother, John David Murray.

She had a passion for photography and scrapbooking all of her family's memories and experiences.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Mike Wood officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

The burial will be at La Monte Cemetery, La Monte, MO. La Monte is her childhood home, and she is to be buried next to her parents, Violet Elizabeth and John Lincoln Murray.

Pallbearers will be John Jones, David Guier, Darby Fitzpatrick, Scotty Jarrett, Charlie Chevalier, and Jerry Stapley.

Flowers and memorial gifts are welcome but not necessary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
