Apostle Harvey Eugene Miller, 76, of Sedalia, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was born on March 20, 1949, in Litchfield, Nebraska, the son of Algern L. Miller and Flora M. (Kepler) Miller, who both preceded him in death.
On May 22, 1970, in Olathe, Kansas, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Sue (Armstrong) Miller, who preceded him in death on August 25, 2019. Together, they shared nearly 50 years of marriage built on faith, love, and devotion to family and ministry.
Apostle Harvey was a faithful servant of God and a man deeply committed to his calling. He dedicated his life to spreading the gospel and shepherding others into a closer relationship with Christ. His passion for revival and his unwavering belief in God's power to transform lives touched countless people throughout the years. Harvey was known for his wisdom, kindness, and steady spirit - always ready with a word of encouragement or prayer for those in need.
In addition to serving as a pastor and apostle for many years, Harvey, along with his family, owned and operated Nostalgia Vintage Apparel and Marketplace in downtown Sedalia, MO. He and his late wife, Carolyn, started the business in 2016. Harvey loved having a shop for the Sedalia community and worked hard to provide a pleasant shopping experience for his employees, vendors, and customers.
Harvey is survived by three children, Kendra Taylor (Travis) of Green Ridge, Ky Miller (Sarah) of Kansas City, and Keesha Martin (Dawn) of Warrensburg, MO; ten beloved grandchildren, Evan Morris, Kaelyn Morris, Claire Morris, Ava Morris, Maurice Martin, Jasmine Martin, Jaxon Martin, Carter Miller, Chloe Miller, and Camille Miller; one precious great-granddaughter, Vivian Martin; a sister, Marcia Painter (Don) of Ainsworth, NE; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.
In addition to his wife and parents, Harvey was preceded in death by three sisters, Janet Bult, Corrine Nelson, and Patty Fales.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Kingdom Life Church, 507 W. 24th St., Sedalia, with Pastor Steve Graff officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the church.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
Pallbearers will include Travis Taylor, Evan Morris, Maurice Martin, Jaxon Martin, Carter Miller, and Jamie Griffin.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kingdom Life Church, to be used for Sedalia Revival, in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
