Obituary For James "Jim" William Cave

James "Jim" William Cave, 52, of La Monte passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at his home. He was born on December 17, 1969 in Kansas City, MO the son of James Roger Cave, who resides in Sedalia and Janice Ann (Lemons) Cave, who preceded him in death.

On November 2, 1996 in Sedalia he was united in marriage to Jennifer L. Thomas, who survives and resides in the home.

Jim was currently employed as General Manager for Ag CoOp Services in Sedalia, where he had worked since 1989. Jim enjoyed going to tractor pulls and dirt track races with his son, Cole. He liked to do jigsaw puzzles and watch St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, along with the Barrett Jackson Car Auction. Jim enjoyed working in his shop and visiting with friends. Jim's favorite time of the year was harvest and being on the farm with Donnie.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by a son, Cole W. Cave of the home; a sister, Jennifer Raines (Kenneth) of Hughesville; seven nieces; two nephews; two great nieces, two great nephews; and several cousins.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 at High Point Cemetery Hughesville, MO, with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Friday prior to the graveside at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Lemons, Steven Lazenby, Allen Miner, Justin Thomas, Roy Martin, and Dave Jefferis.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends may make memorial contributions to the La Monte R-IV School District for the FFA Chapter MO-0331 .
