James Dean Milburn

James Dean Milburn, 62, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born on September 10, 1963, in Lawrence, KS, the son of Gary Gene Milburn and Rose Marie (Webb) Milburn, who preceded him in death.

On February 14, 2014, in Sedalia, MO, he was united in marriage to Cheri Lyn Burgess, who survives of the home.

James was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time in nature. He loved fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, and camping. He found peace and happiness in the outdoors and cherished the simple pleasures of life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Tammy Milburn of Iowa; two brothers, Brian Milburn (Shanna) of Lincoln, MO, and Jason Milburn of Sedalia; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, DeeAnna Byrd.

No services are planned at this time. A private graveside service and burial will be held at a later date at Hesper Cemetery in Eudora, KS.
