Jean (Jeannie) Marie Vogel (Holt), 68, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Rest Haven Convalescent Nursing Home in Sedalia.
Jeannie exchanged vows with Jack Holt on October 13, 2024. He remained by her side faithfully until she passed away peacefully while holding his hand.
She is survived by two sons: Kenneth Wing (Melissa) of Newark, Ohio, and Wade Walters (Lindsey) of Lake Ozark, MO. She also leaves behind three sisters: Linda Allen (Lonny) of Osage Beach, MO; Donna Poch (Ed) of Shorewood, IL; and Diane Strack (Bill) of Wilmington, IL; as well as two brothers: Larry Youngberg (Karen) of Hampton, VA, and Danny Youngberg of Hermitage, MO. Additionally, Jeannie is survived by five grandchildren: Zach and Nicholas Wright; Annie Benne (Skyler) of Jefferson City, MO; Easton; and Ella Walters, along with one great-grandchild on the way. She also had many nieces and nephews in Missouri, Illinois, Florida, and Virginia.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her mother, Joan A. Youngberg, and her brother, Jeffrey Youngberg.
Jeannie loved flowers, taking after her mother and sisters, Donna and Diane. She had a knack for matching her clothes and enjoyed makeup and cologne. Unfortunately, a stroke left her paralyzed on one side, leading to years spent in a wheelchair and in nursing homes. Despite her challenges, she made the best of her situation. Jeannie met Jack while he was in rehabilitation at Rest Haven. She will be missed by Jack, her family, and her friends.
A celebration of life memorial will be planned by the family at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
