Obituary For Jerry Earl Cramer

Jerry Earl Cramer, 78, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022, at his home. On August 4, 1943, he was born in Dayton, OH, the son of Earl Cramer and Erma (Mort) Cramer, who preceded him in death.

On September 4, 1965, in Dresden, MO, he was united in marriage to Sharon Cramer (Neth), who preceded him in death on October 28, 2016.

Jerry was raised in Ohio, where he graduated from Trotwood Madison High School in 1962. He joined the Air Force and was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base for basic training after graduation. After basic training, he was stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base. He served his country honorably from 1962 until 1966. After service in the Air Force, he worked for Mike O'Conner's in Sedalia as a mechanic. Later, he worked as a Union Iron Worker Local #10 for Temple Callison for 30 years. He later went to work at Swisher, in Warrensburg, MO as a welder for 16 years, retiring in 2012.

Jerry loved to spend time in his yard planting flowers and manicuring the perfect yard. He enjoyed taking care of the birds outdoors and keeping his car perfectly clean. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends, playing pitch, horseshoes, and corn hole.

Survivors include three sons, Jamie Cramer (Tammy), Dudley Cramer (Jami), and Ryan Cramer (Madalyn), all of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Gavin (Amanda), Brittany (Anthony), Bethany, Dexter (Hannah), Shayla (Bret), and Jennie; seven great-grandchildren, Sophia, Ava, Rowan, Arianna, Evalynn, Michael, and Brayson; a sister, Janet Hormuth (John) of Littleton, CO; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, Shari Cramer.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Candace Fowler officiating.

The family will receive friends at the chapel from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, with full military honors conducted by Whiteman Air Force Base Honor Team and Sedalia VFW Post #2591.

Pallbearers will be Gavin Neth, Dexter Cramer, Anthony Salmons, Bret Moritz, Chad Staus, and Donal Buckner.

Family and friends may make memorial contributions to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
