Obituary For Johnna Sue Horne

Johnna Sue Horne, 52, of Iberia, MO, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, due to an automotive accident in Eugene, MO. She was born on December 29, 1970, in Sweet Springs, MO, the daughter of Paul Richard Horne Sr., who preceded her in death, and Glenda Sue (Wilson) Horne, who resides in Blue Springs, MO.

Johnna was a 1989 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She attended college in Oklahoma for accounting and cosmetology. She worked as an accountant and cosmetologist in Oklahoma. She later worked as the County Assessor in Yuma, AZ, for many years. Johnna enjoyed riding horses, camping, watching the Kansas City Chiefs and especially loved spending time with her family and grandkids. She had many hobbies. Johnna loved crafting and was a lover of all animals.

In addition to her mother, Johnna is survived by her fiance, Kevin Wilson of Iberia, MO; two children, MiKayla DeAnne Welch (Ryan) of Sedalia and Alexander Erwin (Kelsey) of Eldon, MO; a sister, LaRhonda Lynne Horne/Skeel (Geneva) of Blue Springs, MO; a brother, Paul Richard Horne (Jill) of Sedalia; four grandchildren, FaithAnne, Mackenzie, Kyezer, and Buckley; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Johnna was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Robert Erwin.

A graveside celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2023, at Knob Noster Cemetery, Knob Noster, MO, with Pastor Alan Morse officiating.
