Obituary For Johnnie Lee Stuart

Johnnie Lee Stuart, 74, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022, at his home in Sedalia. He was born on August 20, 1948, in Arkansas, the son of Vernon and Thelma Curry, who preceded him in death.

Besides his parents, John is preceded in death by his wife Sandy Stuart and an infant son, Danny Stuart.

John was an avid hunter and fisher. He loved the outdoors and was a big coin collector. He loved to spend his free time with family and friends.

John is survived by his five children, Johnnie Stuart Jr. (Angie), of Otterville, Marc Stuart (Tammy), of Sedalia, Tina Kabler, of Sedalia, Billy Stuart, of Alton, and Crystal Huddleston (Danny), of Sedalia; his significant other of ten years, Ella Oliver; seven grandchildren, Johnnie Stuart III, Brandon Stuart, Melissa Moore, Kayla Huddleston, Gage Kabler, Dillon Huddleston, and Lane Huddleston; three great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Orva Fisher (Shirley), of Sedalia, Bob Stuart (Barb), of Bates City, Barbara McNeil, of Sedalia, Andy Irvine (Denise), of Barnett, MO, Larry Curry (Cheryl), of Sedalia, Donnie Curry (Lena), of Sedalia, Ron Curry of Jefferson City, and Michelle Bennett (Don), of Fennimore, WI.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2022 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

A private family burial will be held at a later date in Peninsula Cemetery, Blackwater, MO.

Honorary bearers will be Orva Fisher, Bob Stuart, Larry Curry, Donnie Curry, Andy Irvine, Jim McNeal, and Don Bennett.

In honor of their work in helping his grandson Lane to walk again, memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis Children's Hospital in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
