Judith Kay Verts

Judith "Judy" Kay Verts, 69, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at her home in Kansas City. She was born on July 9, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Roy Fenton Verts and Mildred Edith (Kraft) Verts, who preceded her in death.

Judy was of the Methodist faith. She graduated from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri. She worked as a case manager for the Missouri Department of Mental Health for several years and lived in the Waldo community of Kansas City her entire life.

Judy is survived by five cousins, Kathleen Strickland (Mark) of La Monte, Missouri, Janet Wansing of Gladstone, Missouri, Virginia "Ginger" Carroll of Florestel, Missouri, Donna Sawford (Alan) of Smithton, and Karen Henry (Leon) of Jefferson City, Missouri; many other extended family; and her close friend Elizabeth Handlen.

There will be no formal services held at this time.

Cremation arrangements are the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
