Lea Etta Christine Shull

Lea Etta Christine Shull, 82, of Sedalia passed away on June 24, 2026, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. She was born on February 23, 1944, the daughter of Virgil Eugene Rogers and Pearlie Bradshaw Rogers, who preceded her in death.

On April 6, 1961, in Sedalia, MO, she was united in marriage to Thomas Leo Shull, who preceded her in death.

Lea Etta, remembered fondly by all who knew her, was renowned for her warmth, kindness, and unconditional friendship. An excellent cook, she welcomed friends and family with open arms and a generous spirit. Lea Etta was a patient listener and a source of wise, gentle advice, never quick to anger and always offering support.

Her passions included photography, animals, and gardening, pursuits that brought her great joy throughout her life. As a dedicated member of the camera club for 40 years, she captured countless memories and inspired others with her creativity.

Lea Etta devoted 30 years of her life to caring for others as a nurse at Royal Oaks Hospital in Windsor, MO, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and patients alike. She will be remembered as a truly classy and elegant lady, whose legacy of compassion and grace will endure.

She is survived by her son, Brandy Shull (Clara) of Sedalia; daughter, Tari L. Dotson of Sedalia; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two brothers, two sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Shaun G. Shull; and one brother.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO.

Honorary bearers will be her family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
