Linda Diane Maddix, 63, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was born in Tipton, IN, the daughter of James Hubert and Linda Lou (Thatcher) Wagner on November 11, 1958.
On June 11, 1977, in Phoenix, AZ, she was united in marriage to Gerald P. Maddix, who preceded her in death on October 19, 2007.
Diane's passion was genealogy. She was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and was a former Regent of the Thomas Hart Benton chapter. In addition, Diane was a lifetime member of the Benton Historical Society and the Society of Indiana Pioneers.
Diane enjoyed and faithfully attended the Tuesday Ladies Bible Study at Maplewood Church for many years and was an active member of Parkview Christian Church. Diane was a volunteer at Show-Me Christian Youth Home for 15 years and recently earned their 2021 Champion for Children Award. In addition, Diane volunteered with the Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels. Diane especially loved her four-legged "fur babies" Brandi, Angel, Cinder, and Ella.
Diane is survived by three siblings, Rick Wagner (Karen), of Arizona, Nancy Enrico (Al), of Arizona, and Cheryl Ready (Steve), of Warsaw, MO; grandson Michael Ready; and great-grandchildren Tyrus Ready, James Ready, and Maggie Ready.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Lou Wagner.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Parkview Christian Church, Sedalia., with Pastor Rodney Brown officiating.
Urn bearer will be her grandson, Michael Ready.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home, in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
