Linda Joyce Jones, 77, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Rest Haven Convalescent Home in Sedalia. She was born on April 21, 1948, in Sedalia, Missouri, the daughter of Eddie Pettis and Laverne (Oversby) Pettis, who preceded her in death.

Linda was united in marriage to Raymond Jones, who also preceded her in death.

She was a proud graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, Class of 1966. In the early 1980s, Linda worked as a dishwasher at North 65 Cafe. Later, she was employed as a housekeeper at Kingdom City Truck Stop, where she enjoyed visiting and interacting with her co-workers and the patrons she met along the way.

Linda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed playing cards, going out to lunch with friends, and bowling with her sister, Kathy, and other family members. Above all, Linda dearly loved spending time with her family, especially during holidays, special occasions, and times together that created lasting memories.

She is survived by a sister, Kathy Parish of Cole Camp, Missouri; a niece, Kristie Wallace of Warsaw, Missouri; a nephew, Roger Pettis of Sedalia, Missouri; and three great-nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Linda was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Pettis.

A celebration of life gathering will be announced by the family at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
