Lloyd Rowgene Myears

Lloyd Rowgene Myears, 87, of Green Ridge, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at E.W. Thompson in Sedalia. On April 30, 1934, he was born in Charles Mix County, SD, the son of August Myears and Bertha (Stotz) Myears, who preceded him in death.

On April 5, 1955, in Pipestone, MN, he was united in marriage to Jean Ann Sell, who resides in the home.

Lloyd was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Local 101 for 62 years. He enjoyed working his cattle with his horse on the farm. Lloyd enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the sale barn, and rodeos. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Jean, he is survived by four children, Eddie Myears (Kay) of Green Ridge, Helen Brockman of Sedalia, Brenda Ray (Rusty) of Centerview, MO, and Delilah Nichols (Randy) of Sedalia; a brother, Donald Myears (Maryanne) Mulvane, KS; two sisters, Dorothy Wentland of Hibbing, MN, and Patty Lechner (Terry) of West Bend, WI; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon Myears and Norman Myears.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Brother Charles Rose officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at Hickory Point Cemetery, Green Ridge.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Brockman, Ransom Ray, Grant Jones, Keith Hayden, Scott Hewitt, and Brent "Shorty" Wells.

Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or The Sedalia Animal Shelter in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
